“Our son was born with helical rim kinks on both ears. We had mentioned it to our doctor whose response was ‘as far as I know, these malformations do not cause an issue’. I wasn’t happy to accept that, so at 3 weeks old we decided to give EarBuddies a go. Based on the website testimonials we felt we had a good chance of improving the appearance of his ears with an affordable, painless solution.

We kept the splints on for a week before checking the progress and were amazed by the changes! After a further week there didn’t seem to be a great deal more improvement but we wanted to keep going to give Rafferty the best result possible. I’m breastfeeding and we read on the website that this can keep the cartilage softer for longer. In the end we splinted for a total of 6 weeks, which in the beginning would have felt like a very long time, but after a while of having the splints and plasters on we almost forgot they were there.

I did wonder whether we should get the splints put on in a clinic but the process is so simple. Any time I wasn’t sure about something I checked the FAQs on the website and there was always an answer, the information and support provided is brilliant. We are so happy with the results and I would encourage any parent to do the same for their child. It doesn’t cause them any discomfort and is an easy way to resolve what would later in life be much harder to correct. Perhaps Rafferty wouldn’t have been bullied or felt self-conscious about his ears, but thankfully now we will never have to find out.”
